Adding Your Measurements into the Estimator

It’s important to note that all Measurements in the Estimator are in Millimetres. That means you need to convert your measurements into Millimetres – Super Easy!

For example:

  • 1 Metre = 1000mm 

Therefore if your overall opening width is 12 Metres you need to convert that into millimetres and enter 12000 as your opening

We’ve made it easy with helpful tips along the way — just click the “More Info” buttons on the page whenever you need them. And if you get stuck, no stress — you can always contact us directly and we’ll help you out.

Slat Gap

The gap between slats doesn’t change the final price, so you won’t see this as an option in the calculator. Our standard gap is 10mm, but you’re welcome to choose a custom gap — or even no gap at all for full privacy. Just let us know when we follow up with you.
 
Important: We don’t recommend a no-gap design for driveway gates. It can catch the wind, affect stability, and potentially cause damage to the automation system over time.

Sliding Gate Footing

If you’re choosing a sliding gate, you’ll need a concrete footing for the rail the gate rolls on when opening and closing. If you don’t have a concrete footing we can install it for you – just select “yes” when prompted in the estimator. Alternatively if this is a DIY estimate or you plan to install the concrete footing yourself select “no” to Concrete Footing when prompted.

Colours

If you’re unsure what colour to select from our range don’t worry – it won’t affect the estimate. At this stage you just need to get an idea of how much your new aluminium slat fence will cost. We can discuss what colour fence will best suit your home at the site visit or you can advise us at that time youself. 

One More Thing...

Just a heads-up — this price is an initial estimate. The final cost can change slightly if things like measurements need adjusting, details change later on, or extras (like a parcel letterbox) are added. If you choose Supergates to handle the installation, we’ll go through everything during the site visit and lock in a final quote then.
